Acupuncture for Fertility

I have supported countless couples with fertility struggles over the last 20 years and have seen firsthand how acupuncture can be an invaluable resource to help at each stage of the journey. 

 

From restoring and supporting a healthy cycle after using long-term contraception, preparing the body to conceive, to "unexplained infertility", sperm issues, recurrent miscarriages and IVF. I have supported those in single sex relationships, single-person IUIs/ IVF, and everything in between.

I understand the stress and anxiety that comes with trying to conceive; the frustration and grief every month, and the feeling that time is ticking and everyone else is getting pregnant.  Fertility support, to me, is about helping ease that cycle and getting you in the best possible place to support a healthy pregnancy (and then looking forward to supporting you through that too!).  Chinese Medicine recognises that emotions and stress are just as important as test results and numbers, and that by ensuring your sleep, digestion, and any other ailments are optimised, we'll also be preparing you for the next steps towards optimal fertility.  For those already on the IVF/ IUI journey, we work alongside the scans and medications to support their effectiveness and ease any side effects and again,  to reduce the stress and anxiety that can come with these treatments.

"I had been trying to conceive for more than a year when I contacted Lilja. My journey hadn’t been straight forward and I was absolutely desperate and heartbroken after a miscarriage when I contacted her for help.
