Private Health Insurance and Acupuncture

Check your policy!

Many private health insurance companies are now covering a certain amount of Acupuncture treatment- they know it makes financial sense for people to stay healthy naturally with Acupuncture!

Each policy is different- for example sometimes you may have to ask your GP for a referral, but GPs are usually happy to do this.

If you have private health insurance through your work or personally or family cover, make the most of your policy and check if your policy cover treatments with a British Acupuncture Association (BAA) or British Acupuncture Federation (BAF) Accredited practitioner.  Please note;  The British Acupuncture Association is rebranding to the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) in 2022.  I'm happy to give you a receipt for treatment so that you can claim for the cost of treatment.

BAA are currently accepted by the following health insurance companies below.

up to date information should be found here.

BAF are awaiting consideration from BUPA, Aviva and Westfields regarding this but we have been told that at the current time they are dealing with Covid related issues and they will try and assess our information when they can.
