Private Health Insurance and Acupuncture
Check your policy!
Many private health insurance companies are now covering a certain amount of Acupuncture treatment- they know it makes financial sense for people to stay healthy naturally with Acupuncture!
Each policy is different- for example sometimes you may have to ask your GP for a referral, but GPs are usually happy to do this.
If you have private health insurance through your work or personal or family cover, make the most of your policy and check if your policy cover treatments with a Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) or British Acupuncture Federation (BAF) Accredited practitioner. I'm happy to give you a receipt for treatment so that you can claim for the cost of treatment.
AAC/ BAA/ BAF are currently accepted by the following health insurance companies below.
up to date information should be found here.
BAF are awaiting consideration from BUPA, Aviva, AXA and others regarding this but we have been told that at the current time they are dealing with Covid related issues and they will try and assess our information when they can.
